Waiting To Be Called On...

Taking Turns

Use a small stuffed animal to help students learn the importance of raising their hands and taking turns to talk.
Select a stuffed animal to be the class' pet. After asking a question, toss the pet to the student who raises his hand, giving him the chance to talk, while peers get the visual (pet) to wait. After the child shares, have him toss the pet back to you.
In no time, the class pet will encourage students to take turns and wait to be called on!
Get a Happy Napper as a class pet!
